The weekend of November 15th-17th, Nanny & Pappy were taking the camper out one last time for this year. They asked us if we would like to go & of course we did! They were going camping at Jellystone. ๐Ÿ™‚ Samuel’s favorite. Cousin Makayla went camping too & they had a blast together! It was a very low-key weekend & we really enjoyed spending time with them & being able to slow down & not be so busy. We got there Friday morning & Samuel & Makayla rode bikes while Bill & Pappy set up the camper. We also enjoyed the playground. During the fall they don’t schedule a lot of activities so we drove around the camp site, the little ones rode bikes, & played on the playground a lot. It started raining that evening so we decided to out to eat & save our camp fire for Saturday night. After dinner the adult attempted to play Phase 10. However, if you’ve ever tried to play that with kids around, you know it doesn’t last long. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Saturday was a lot of fun too! We went on a hiking trail. I ran into a spider web with a giant spider in it & almost had a heart attack! Bill was laughing at me, but it scared me! I hate spiders!!!! They rode bikes some more & then we had lunch. We waited around for the jumping pillow to open & to see Boo Boo. Samuel & Makayla kept asking when they were going to see Yogi. They were excited to get to see Boo Boo. There were no Yogi sightings though. After visiting with Boo Boo we started our campfire & Bill cooked hamburgers & hot dogs, while Nanny cooked fries. We had excellent cooks! Then we roasted marshmallows & sat by the campfire for a little while.

Sunday morning we packed up & headed back home. Thank you so much Nanny & Pappy for such a fun time & for inviting us. We always treasure our time with any of our family.

A couple of weeks ago we went to the beach with Pappy, Nanny, Dana, & Joey for a long weekend. We were there on Bill’s birthday, the 22nd! Chuseok, Korean Thanksgiving, was on Thursday, September 19th. I had to work 12 hours, so we didn’t celebrate that night. We decided to celebrate on Friday night with family. We cooked some Korean food & it was yummy! We had beef bulgolgi, white rice, mandu, Korean candy, & choco pies! We were blessed to celebrate Chuseok with some of our family. We are thankful for our entire family!

On Saturday morning it was just me, Nanny, & Samuel hanging out. Pappy, Bill, Dana, & Joey all went to play golf. So, we went to the store where Samuel had to get a toy :), & hung out in the room until they got back from playing golf. We then went to the indoor pool. It was a little cool outside to go out on the beach. I forgot to take my camera to the pool! After a fun time at the pool Samuel & Bill took a nap. When they got up we went out to this cool playground! It was a pirate ship. Samuel loved it! After dinner Samuel had so much fun playing hide & go seek, & making paper airplanes. His uncle Joey made him several airplanes & he was his buddy the rest of the night. They even watched some “Disney Collector” on youtube together. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sunday was daddy’s big day! It was his birthday! Samuel helped make daddy breakfast. He loves to help cook! Daddy decided he wanted to relax & sleep a little more. So Nanny, Dana, Samuel & I went to the beach to find seashells. We found some beautiful ones. After our walk we headed inside & got ready to go to the pool. We then came in & got ready to go out to dinner & the mall. Daddy wanted to spend his birthday money. ๐Ÿ™‚ We love you so much Bill & are so blessed by you! Thank you so much for working so hard for our family. I’m sorry that I don’t tell you enough that I appreciate you! After dinner & shopping we came back to make daddy a cake. Again Samuel helped!

Then we had our last full day on Monday. It was finally warm enough to enjoy the beach. We played in the sand & water for a little while & then headed to the pool. Samuel really enjoyed the indoor little water park they had. He loved the water slides & wanted everyone to go down them with him!

Camping trip!

Over Labor Day weekend we went camping with Nanny & Pappy in their new camper! Samuel had been looking forward to this weekend for a long time! He talked about it almost every day once he heard we were going camping. He loves trucks & trailers. Especially 18 wheelers & now campers. He was so excited to get to finally sleep in the camper! I unfortunately forgot my camera, but took a few with my phone.

On Friday, August 30th, Samuel had preschool orientation. I had to work all day so daddy took him to meet his new teacher. After orientation Samuel went on down to the beach with Nanny & Pappy. He loved that so much! He was pulling the camper behind the truck! Bill & I headed to the beach after I got off work so we arrived late. Samuel woke up enough to tell us all about the camper. He was kind of talking in his sleep. It was pretty funny! Saturday we had breakfast & then went to the beach. I’m so glad Samuel loves the beach! We went to the pool after being on the beach for a little while. Then daddy & Samuel took a nap while I went back to the beach. Dana, Joey, Brit, Joseph, Kayla, & Joey’s brother & his girlfriend were there with us too in Dana & Joey’s camper. They were at the beach when I went back out so I hung out with them for a little while. Later that night we went to eat dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. Samuel always likes the show they do. We also got Samuel all ready & geared up for soccer while we were out! Thanks Nanny & Pappy for helping us out! Sunday was mostly a repeat of Saturday except we had to leave around 3:45 to head back home so I could work on Monday. We hated to leave the beach because we had so much fun! The rest of the family stayed until Monday.

It was a quick trip, but so wonderful. We loved the family time & are thankful for that time. Thank you for letting us go & Samuel especially is thankful for getting to use the camper! He asks all the time when we are going back to the beach with the camper!

June 4th was our 8th anniversary! We decided to go away for the weekend, just the two of us. We went to the beach for the weekend & had so much fun! It was very relaxing & just fun! Of course there were a lot of times that we thought, “Samuel would love this, or if Samuel were here he’d say this.” We did miss our sweet boy so much, but it was a great time for us to spend time together alone. We arrived Friday evening & the first thing I wanted to do was hit the beach! We got everything up to the room & rested for a little bit. Then I finally got Bill up to go down to the beach. ๐Ÿ™‚ย  It was the perfect weather for our beach weekend! I’m so thankful that the weather was gorgeous. We stayed out on the beach for a couple of hours & then headed in to get ready for a late dinner. We went to a Japanese steak house, one of our favorites, & then saw a late movie called After Earth. We haven’t done that in forever! The movie was pretty good. Probably not one I would have chosen to see, but hubby wanted to.

On Saturday we had plans to go on a dolphin jet ski tour. We got up & had breakfast, then headed over to where we needed to be. Bill drove the jet ski & I rode with him. I was completely fine just riding. It was SO much fun!!! I’m so glad that we did that! Again, we missed our boy, but we wouldn’t have been able to do this if he were with us. We rode around for a while & made our way to an island. We stopped & explored the island for a little while. I found a beautiful olive shell on the island. After exploring the island we headed out into the ocean to find dolphins. Unfortunately that day they weren’t able to find the dolphins. They said the shrimp boats weren’t out & that’s usually what attracts them. We still had so much fun! Since we didn’t see any dolphins they gave us a cd of the pictures they took while we were riding the jet skis & on the island.

After the jet skis we headed back to our room & had lunch on the patio. It was very nice & relaxing. ๐Ÿ™‚ Then we went out to the beach for several hours. Well, Bill came to the beach with me for a short while & then headed back to the room to take a nap. I was completely fine enjoying being on the beach, reading, listening to the ocean, & relaxing. After several hours I went back up to the room & we got ready for dinner. We had seafood & then went to the outlet malls. We shopped a little & then enjoyed some home-made ice cream. We were looking forward to getting home to Samuel, but not leaving the beach. I seriously think I could live there. I absolutely love the beach! We went back to the room & the next morning we went back to the beach for a short time. We wanted to soak in as much as we could! We checked out just in time. There was a new mall that I wanted to see, so we went there before going back home. It wasn’t what I thought, so we ended up leaving & going back towards home to get our boy.

Thank you Mimi & Pop-pop for taking such great care of our Samuel for us! We know he had a blast & really enjoyed it! Thank you Nanny & Pappy for keeping Buddy for us. ๐Ÿ™‚ We know he was taken care of too.

My birthday & the beach

My birthday was last Thursday. I started the last year of my 20’s. I can’t believe that! Time is flying by! I’m going to be 30 next year. I spent the day with my sweet boy & then we had dinner as a family at Kanki. Samuel loved the show as always & it was a wonderful treat. After dinner we went to Cold Stone for ice cream. I had a birthday coupon to use at both places. That was nice! My meal & ice cream were both free! ๐Ÿ™‚ My sweet guys got me new rainbow flip-flops. They are the most comfortable for my feet & I only get a pair every 3-4 years.ย  I received a lot of birthday blessings & cards in the mail as well. I’m so blessed & thankful for all of you! Thank you for making me feel so special!

Then on Friday we left for the beach! Our first beach trip of 2013!ย Unfortunately the weather was pretty cold & windy, but the place we stayed at had an indoor water park. There was so much to do. I think we went down the water slide at least 50 times with Samuel. He would come down & rotate who he wanted to take him the next time. He rememberedย too. It was always the opposite person each time. ๐Ÿ™‚ It was a blast! We have a little fish that just loves the water! We went with Bill’s parents, Nanny & Pappy, & cousin Kristina. Thankful to be with them & that Samuel had a playmate. He’s definitely getting to that age where a playmate would be wonderful (come on referral!!!). We mostly played at the pools & indoor water park, but did go out on the beach for a little bit on Sunday. It was cold & windy so we didn’t stay out very long. We were getting sandblasted! It was gorgeous though & we were blessed to be there & take in the beauty. I LOVE the beach. It calms me & feel less stressed.

Thank you Nanny & Pappy for inviting us!
