Archive for February, 2014

We celebrated Samuel’s 4th birthday with family at our house on the 22nd of February. He has been so excited to turn 4 for months!! He couldn’t wait. We are so thankful to all of our family that came to celebrate with us. We love you all! Thank you for joining us in celebrating our special boy & what he means to us. I cannot believe that he is 4 years old! Where does the time go?

Samuel, mommy & daddy love you so much! You are our joy! We are so thankful that God gave us you. You are so smart, caring, loving, & fun. 🙂 We pray that God would bless you & watch over you. We also pray that you would come to know Him at an early age & spend your life serving Him. We are forever grateful to your birth mother for choosing life for you & being so brave! We will always have so much respect for her. We will also be thankful for your foster family that took care of you & loved you until we could. We cannot wait until you are a big brother! You will be the best big brother ever!

We are #3 now on our agency’s wait list. Pray with us that our baby boy or girl comes home soon. Also, take a look & see if you are able to help us out any with our grant.

Our adoption from Japan

Update on our grant: We have now received $1,100 towards our grant!! We only have $1,400 more to go before we reach our goal. We are blessed!!! An anonymous donor gave $1,000 towards our grant. I wish that I could thank whomever it is. We are truly so thankful. Thank you for your generosity & kindness! You are helping bring a child to their forever family. ❤ We are so thankful to everyone that has given to any or all of our fundraisers. Our goal date for this grant is February 15. Can you help us out?! That is right around the corner. Please consider donating $5, $10, or whatever the Lord would have you give.

Here are the ways you can give:

  • Checks should be payable to “Lifesong for Orphans. In the memo, note “Perry/#4024” to assure it goes to the correct account. Please mail to Lifesong for Orphans…

The New Year!!!

We celebrated bringing in the New Year of 2014 by being together. My little sister Mary came over & we had a lot of fun playing games & being silly. Samuel wasn’t able to hang to see the acorn & NYC ball drop, but the rest of us celebrated with sparkling grape juice & I did get a kiss from my honey! 🙂 Mary almost missed ringing in the New Year. She fell asleep right before & I woke her up (by accident) telling her to get her grape juice. Being with family is the best way to bring in a New Year!

Christmas Day 2013

I will eventually catch up! 😉 Christmas Day was so much fun!!! We opened presents as a family, finished our Jesse Tree, & spent time with more family later that day. We saw Mimi & Pop-pop as well as the Perrys, Bill’s dad’s side of the family. Once again, we always love spending time with our family. It really is one of the things most important to us.
