The Pledge of Allegiance

Samuel has been learning so much at preschool! I’m so proud of my big boy. We are very thankful for Ms. Edie & Ms. Susan. Here’s a video of him reciting The Pledge of Allegiance. 🙂

A weekend at the beach

Last weekend we went to the beach with Mimi & Pop-pop. We are so thankful they invited us to come along! We had a fun, filled weekend with lots to do. Friday when we got there we parked in the 15 minute parking waiting to check-in. Well, once we tried to move the Jeep to park it in the parking garage it wouldn’t start. Oh me! The ignition wouldn’t turn at all. So, we notified the hotel that our Jeep would be there until we could find someone to fix it & hopped in the car with Mimi & Pop-pop. We went to dinner with their friends that were down for the weekend too. Then we went to a Christmas lights show! We rode in the Hoyt’s van. We drove through the lights, listened to the music, & watched the Christmas lights dance to the music. It was so much fun! Samuel really enjoyed it. There was a mini petting zoo at the end that he enjoyed too. It was so cold we weren’t able to walk around too long. The next morning we went to breakfast & then found a locksmith to look at the Jeep. Praise the Lord he was able to fix it & knew exactly what was wrong! I was very worried it was going to be something much worse. Thankful that it wasn’t & that it happened when we had other transportation around & no where specific, like work, to go. While the Jeep was being fixed I took Samuel to a playground that was only a block or so from the hotel. It was right behind sand dunes so we could see the ocean & sand too. The we all (Bill, Samuel, Mimi, Pop-pop & me) went swimming in the indoor pool. Thankful that it was heated. Samuel is our little fish so he of course loved that! After Samuel’s nap we headed to the Ripley’s aquarium. That was a lot of fun! Samuel loves the aquarium! I loved it too. He especially loved all the humongous tanks that he could see the sharks, sting rays, & colorful fish. When then had dinner & ice cream & headed back to the hotel. On Sunday we took a short walk on the beach & then played at the park again. Samuel decided to throw a little (haha!) fit. He decided it was not such a good idea to leave the beach! Overall he did pretty good last weekend considering the short naps & later bed times. I didn’t want to leave either! We are so very thankful for the time we got to spend together as a family & with Mimi & Pop-pop. It was a blessing for sure!

Here are the pics. I’ll let them speak for themselves. The last picture shows how we felt about leaving the beach! 🙂

Trick or treat

Wednesday we took our little puppy dog to get some treats. We just went to a few family member’s houses. Wished we could have went to see everyone, but distance & time didn’t allow.

Here’s our cute little puppy, Spot!
